HOW TO BOOK YOUR CHARTER:
Once you have chosen your sailing catamaran or yachting holiday, and checked availability, Whitsunday Luxury Catamarans can place a hold on it for up to 7 days. Just phone, fax or email through your details and we can get your booking reserved for you while you have time to confirm your flights and other travel details.
A deposit of $750 is required within this period to secure the booking for you, with the balance of your charter payable 60 days prior to your charter start date.
HOW TO I GET THERE?
A bareboat catamaran or yacht charter starts at Abel Point Marina, in Airlie Beach, North Queensland, which is approximately 3 hours drive south of Townsville and a12 hour drive north of Brisbane. If you are driving, we are just 20 minutes off the Bruce Highway junction at Proserpine.
The easiest way to get to the Whitsundays, is to fly into Whitsunday Coast Airport (also know as Proserpine). Jetstar and Virgin Blue operate direct flights from most major cities.
There are shuttle, limo and taxi services that meet all arriving flights, but do need to be booked prior to your arrival. Please ask us for further information.
Alternatively you can also fly into Hamilton Island and have your charter boat delivered to you at the islands marina for a small charge.
Other Isalnd resort pick up points are Daydream Island or Hayman Island (charges apply)
There are bus, limo and taxi services between Proserpine Airport & Airlie Beach approx 35-40 mins away, (bookings are required)

We can deliver your vessel to Hamilton for $240 each way or $460 return The vessel is available from 11am.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT CHARGE:
Marine Park Authority Fee (inclusive of administration) of $22.00 per person is payable prior to departure.The (EMC) is given to the Management Agency of (Great barrier Reef Marine Park Authority) and assists with the management of the World Heritage Marine Park. This can be paid on arrival or with the balance of charter fees 60 days prior to your charter.
INCLUDED IN YOUR CHARTER COST:
Dinghy with outboard motor, all bedding a linen (sheets, pillow cases, blankets, towels and tea towels) all crockery, cutlery and utensils, gas cooker, refrigeration systems including freezers and rail mounted gas BBQ’s. Snokelling gear, charts and books for navigation, including a comprehensive vessel and area briefing prior to your departure.
VESSEL SECURITY BOND:
A security bond is payable before commencement of charter. We do not process the bond, but if is held on authorisation from your account for the duration of your charter. Providing your vessel is returned clean and without loss or damage, we then destroy the authorisation within 14 days of your return.
CANCELLATION FEES:
Your charter is fully refunable (less a $250 cancellation fee) if cancelled more than 60 days before your charter start date. If you cancel within the 60 day timeframe, the charter fee is non refundable.
FUEL CHARGES:
Fuel is not included in the cost of your charter, and will be charged on consumption at the end of your charter.

The food for your holiday is one of the most important aspects of planning your whitsunday holiday. There two large supermarkets open 7 days (Woolworths and Coles) or you can leave all the headache of what to have for dinner up to the experts! SAILING / CHARTER EXPERIENCE
No formal qualifications are required to charter a bareboat catamaran in the Whitsundays. Some previous boating experience is required. Prior to your arrival we will get you to complete a resume, detailing your boating and/or sailing experience. This will cover some general questions, to give us an idea of your level of experience. For those who are less experienced or not quite so confident, we can organize a sail guide for you.

RADIO & MOBILE PHONE COVERAGE IN THE WHITSUNDAY AREA:
Your vessel is equipped with a Satellite Phone and VHF marine radio. These are manned from our base. Mobile phones work in most areas in the Whitsunday Islands if you have a line of sight to the mainland or Hamilton Island. All our vessels are fitted with 240v outlets or cigarette lighter outlets for mobile phone charging.
