The Weather in Whitsunday Islands

The Whitsundays are located at 20 degrees south, so share the same latitude with Fiji and Vanuatu. With average daily temperatures of 27 degrees, during your charter you can expect a warm tropical climate nearly all year round. The summer season runs from about December to February with warm tropical days and occasional showers.

From March to September you can expect the trade winds to dominate, with a prominent south east to east wind direction. During the months November through January it’s normal to get wind from the north, north east direction. Generally the most settled time of year for a bareboat charter is from August through until November.

But whatever time of year you choose to bareboat charter, you will be guaranteed spectacular sailing, and magnificent scenery.
